Hyssop Ointment

One more quick thing. I walked in on Bill using Hyssop Ointment on Mike's shoulder and neck area. Bill was telling about the properites of Hyssop and how is penetrates and open's things and how it was used in ancient times. Mike said "And the Israelites used hyssop to put the blood on the door for the angel of death plague to passover." Bill teared up and said that was right. It is in Genesis 12:22

Deanna and Mike,
I think about ya'll alot and pray often. Still trying to sort things out in my mind. Amazing how comfortable in chaos you seem to be. It's a sign of peace. Courage is not courage without fear to make it so. Your courage is an inspiration Deanna, especially in the light of your history with fear. Hang in there.

As regards Bill, my favorite quote is "A leader is a dealer in hope" (from Napoleon). Give a man hope and you give him a reason to not only live but thrive.

Lord, as the angel of death passed by the Israelites in Egypt, we acknowledge that Mike and his house are covered by the blood of the sacrifical Lamb, Jesus Christ, and we glory in Your protection as the angel of death once again passes by...and does not stop.

Hey Phillips Family!
I just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you (and everyone here at Appalachian Bible College)..
When I went to precept teen camp 2 summers ago, be did the study on Joshua. and I remember the theme verse for that week was Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go" When I heard of this mountain that you all are climbing, I thought of that verse.
I hope it encouraged you as it did me!
Stay Strong in the Lord!
Praying faithfully,
Kirstie

May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope. Romans 15: 13

Deanna,

The strength I hear in your words is amazing. I wish I could have known you better. I have added your family to prayer lists back home in Baton Rouge and will keep you in my prayers as well. I pray for continued strength and hpe, for Lt Col Phillips comfort and strentgh through his battle and for God to continue to send his angels to your sides.
