One more day

Time is getting more and more precious with every minute. We are still in the hospital trying to arrange hospice at home. We are not sure Mike is strong enough to go to our physical home. We are waiting on the hospice nurse to evaluate the situation.

We have had some amazing moments. Last night as we were transferred out of ICU to a private room, Elizabeth, Melissa, Dr. Bo, Alexa, Erin, and I circle around Mike and pray incredible, powerful, healing prayers. It was electrical for lack of better word to describe. As we were praying, different Ministers from around the US called and prayed for Mike over speaker phone. Col. Weigand called and prayed for Mike over the speaker phone. It was powerful.

Please know I read every comment to Mike today and to our dear Boneman, Doug and Dena are on the way from Omaha and Jeff and Wendy are on their way from Germany. Wingman to the core. Thank you.

We are holding fast to our Savior and know that victory is a short time away. Thank you God for sending your Son to die for us on the Cross and that He rose on the Third Day. Mike's home is waiting for Him and as the song says, "It is Well with My Soul". I can not end this blog without letting you know that the incredible peace that we have is available to you if you don't know what we are talking about. Read John 3:16 and know that everyone falls short and everyone sins, but Christ took that sin for you on the cross.

Take you Jesus for one more day as a family. One more day...

I also have been glued to the computer and phone! I want to call...but I know you need this time as a family. Please know we will ALWAYS be here for you.

My tears are flowing, my heart is heavy, my prayers are continual, my mind is wondering, but my hands are lifted in praise to our Lord Jesus Christ, for the love He has for us, for Mike. That His love is unchanging and everlasting. That He died, so Mike could live!! Sending all our love, Roxanne & family

Yes, you are loved very much. We thank God for allowing us to know you. We know that some fine day we will all be together again. Hallelujah! Which reminds me of Christian Glory Hallelu Yah! he will be jumping for joy when we see him next! :) Won't that be great to see?! How wonderful that our hope is in Christ, our great God and Savior, who gives that peace, that joy, that no one and nothing can take away. John 14:1-3, 27. Yes, Deanna, "it is well with my soul." We won't quit praying. Know you are loved, Lynnette (and thanks again)

Praying Scripture: Isaiah 40:29 -31

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
But they they wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.
As you continue to wait moment by moment, may the God of all comfort give you the strength you
need.
Love, Susan Cordre

Deanna, Mike and Elizabeth.... The title for my devotions today is "AT HOME WITH GOD". It's actually from the first 6 verses of Hebrews chapter 3. It' really referring that we are "God's house" even in this life. I think verse 6 sums the lives of all 3 of you.." But Christ, God's faithful Son, is in complete charge of God's house. And we Christians are God's house-He lives in us!-if we keep up our courage firm to the end, and our joy and our trust in the Lord." Living Translation SO GLAD you got a private room and I know Mike's evaluation will go as God planned. XO Gini

Praise God for one more day. I have been watching for updates and praying since before the surgery. Please give Mike all my love and thanks for being such a wonderful caring person. Deanna, you too. Your strength and unwavering faith are such a testament to the power of God to work in people. The girls pass their love on to Elizabeth too. I just wanted to add that last night Summer saw me reading the blog and she recognized Mike as "nice daddy from Awanas." Then when she went to bed last night she prayed for Mike. It was all I could do to hold back the tears. We will keep on praying for a miracle.

Deanna, Please know that if Mike passes away in the hospital in hospice, that you won't have long with him in the room, about an hour or two. He will be wheeled away, after that, to the morgue and you won't be allowed to follow. They are a hopital, after all. So, when you are in hospice be sure that someone is always holding his hand, if they want (as a way of saying goodbye). If the nurses are monitoring his vital signs they might let you know when the last couple of minutes are for him, but that won't really seem like enough time to you to say goodbye. At least that is how it was for us when my brother-in-law passed away 3 months ago when he was in the VA hospital in Tucson. Don't be alarmed about how these things might go after he passes away. Use this hospice time wisely, and you, hopefully, won't be in shock when all this happens, but aware of how the Lord's gift to you was this time with Mike. Agreeing with the commentors before us,love and prayers for you all, The Clarks..Pam,Duane,Meara,Joseph and Sandra

We are still praying for the miracle, but if that isn't God's will, congratulations to Mike that he will be drinking out of the goblet soon (remember his vision?). Our hearts are heavy even though we know the great joy awaiting Mike...complete healing, rest, and peace. Deanna and Elizabeth you are right at the front of our hearts!

I am still praying, still asking the Lord to heal, to comfort, to strengthen. I can't seem to stop thinking of you all...you have my full attention right now, and I keep lifting you before the throne. I will ask for the impossible until there is no longer a need to ask, no matter how that happens. Mike, I am really proud of you. You have fought well and loved well in spite of the battle, and I can feel the Lord's pleasure for you in my heart. Well done. And thank you so much for letting me come along on this wild ride. I have learned much because of you, and I am grateful.

I love you all.

Brother Mike...I am so inspired by you and the way you mirror God's love and strength...your courage is awesome in the old, truest meaning of the word; you inspire awe. Your friends and brothers are on your wing as you lead us through stormy skies that only you understand, but which we know you among all men can navigate surely and strongly. I will *always* hear your voice in my headphones.

And Deanna, Elizabeth...the grace that you are sharing with Mike and showing all of us who are praying through this with you, is so very beautiful. We thank God for you and pray for His power and healing touch for all of you!! If that healing for Mike is in this world, it will be a miracle; if not, the miracle of Jesus' resurrection is hope beyond what we could ever ask for! Love,

Chris & Rhonda

We are lifting you up to the King tonight.

When words fail I pray Ps. 18 with Mike's name. I sent it to you on email. I visualize the cancer and poison of this world as the foes, enemies and rogue nations that will bow to Mike in that Psalm. We love you.
