Tourist

We are still here and the weather is beautiful for London. Lot's of sun and temps in the low 50's. Yesterday, we changed plans and went to Trafalgar's' Square. We then walked down by the Horses' Guard, Downing Street, by Big Ben and Parliament. We then walked over to the London Eye. Elizabeth, Austin, Doug and Dena took the World's Tallest Ferris Wheel. My fear of heights kept me on the ground with Sherry. It was a beautiful day.

Today we are headed to Greenwich and then Hamley's (famous toy store...Doug's idea not mine!) and then to WICKED tonight here in LONDON (my idea... I have wanted to see this show forever!)

Oh gosh...I would LOVE to see Wicked! Hope saw it in LA and loved it!

I would love to take that ferris wheel too, but the three times I've been in London we've not had time for that. I'm glad Elizabeth got to do it!

When you all get home I hope you let Elizabeth blog about the trip. I would love to hear about it from her point of view.

You will love Wicked! I bought tickets through trips and tours from our base (RAF Croughton) and went to see it in London with friends- we had an awesome time!

Enjoy your time here in the UK!

Deanna,
Christopher here...we met on the plane ride to Chicago. I am glad to hear you made it to London safely. I have to admit you really surprised me when you asked to read my book...and then really read it! I knew you had to be connected to the military! Please know it was an absolute blessing to see God's hand move that day...I would have never met you if I hadn't torn my ACL 3 months earlier and been forced to sit where I was. Our God is so good! I was reading in Nehemiah 8 the other day and came across verse 10: "Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength." Of course the context was in regards to the Lords day and not suggesting one should never grieve, but I thought of you immediately once I read it. That even in our natural grief, we can have joy through the Lords strength. I have been praying that God would bless both you and your daughter with His joy.

God bless you and keep you,
Christopher...from Rhode Island

Oh Deanna, what a blessing, I just read what Christopher wrote you. God is good and the joy of the LORD is our strength! I am so glad you are having a good time in London, and I'm anxious to hear what you think of "Wicked" so please let us know! I think you remember how much I love "Wizard of Oz." Our prayers are with you, as always. Love, Lynnette

How small is this world that you would meet Christopher on a plane and he would read your blog and respond!

Glad to hear you are having a great time! Take lots of pictures so you can share with us.

I received an e-mail from FBC today with the link of Mike's service. Haven't tried it yet; I'm having surgery tomorrow and trying to tie up loose ends from work. Hopefully I'll get to try it out when I'm home recovering this week. I'll let you know how it goes.

Continuing to keep you in our thoughts and prayers! God bless you all!
Love,
Cynthia Turzak
