Deanna,
I graduated from the Weapons School the class after Mike and our while our paths never really crossed, I am humbled by the love and respect he commanded throughout the B-1 community. I have read every one of your posts and they make me wish I had known him better. He was a leader, a mentor and a respected aviator who will be missed, but his contributions to the Air Force and the world will be felt for years.
Thank you for sharing your journey and demonstrating your love in Christ. It is truly an inspirational lesson for all of us.
Very Respectfully,
Randy Kaufman

Looks like it was a beautiful day....we had freezing rain here in Tucson during the funeral, so I was glad to see you had sun. I've followed your blog this whole time but don't think I've ever commented. Thank you for sharing your journey with us in this way. Your words and your lives have brought such glory to God.

Keep holding on tightly!
In Him,
Kim Newhouse

My Dear Friend,
Thank you for sharing these pictures. It looks like it was a beautiful day. I heard a song on the Christian station yesterday and it reminded me of Mike's journey~It was called "Wrapped in His Arms". The battle was his holding tightly in his hands; now he is at peace in HIS arms. You all fought hard and showed so much faith and strength. You have changed the lives of so many. I know that God is smiling saying " Good and faithful servant". Please know that we will continue to pray for you and Elizabeth. Know that our door is always open here in FL.
Hugs and Blessings,
Carrie

Thanks for sharing those pictures, they are great, reminds me of the song "Great is Thy Faithfulness" which I love and was so appropriate for Mike's funeral. In my heart I was there with you, Deanna. We're not going to quit praying for you & Elizabeth. Love, Lynnette

It has been 72 hours since we celebrated Mike's amazing life and the legacy he left all of us. Mike was a patriot, a loving father and husband and wonderful son(in-law) brother-in-law, nephew-in-law, cousin-in-law. Mike was loved by all of us and we proudly told everyone who would listen about Mike's service to our great country. He is going to be greatly missed and will live in our hearts all the rest of our lives.
As I talk with a lot of you that were at Mike's service I have come to realize the impact this service had on many of us. The question ask by Pierre "what are you going to do with the rest of your life?"
is a question Mike would have asked all of us ( in a very nice loving way) and I know he asked that of himself. The courage he showed in his fight with Cancer, in his dedication to his God, family and country will never be forgotten. The support all of you have showed our family this week will never be forgotten , your prayers, visits, financial aid and just being there as what sustains us.
Again Thank You for the bottom of our hearts.
