I am so Blessed!

It is so late and I am so tired, but I just can't go to bed until I say thank you. Today was amazing. Is that wrong to say? Everything was perfect and I literally hear Mike saying good job. I am so overwhelmed by the out pouring of everyone. I sat there talking to the wonderful men from Dyess AFB and I felt so protected. They had a stance in front of me that if anyone messes with me, they will send a B-1 over McKinney to take care of business. How did the world did I get so blessed. Most people just have family (which I have) that protect them, but I an Air Force of men willing to step in the whole that Mike left when he went to be with Jesus on Friday. I also saw Godly men today that are going to do the same. I will never forget today. I will never forget Swede handing us that Flag. I am so honored and overwhelmed. Words are failing me. Thank you.

Prayer request:
To learn how to walk forward
For paperwork
For healing for Elizabeth
For strength on this journey of grief

Praise:
Jesus hasn't left us
A new day
Friends families ... everything that has unfolded over the past days... I will blog more later about the incredible grace and mercy

The service was beautiful...what a legacy Mike left. Elizabeth is such a precious young girl; my 12 year old was in awe of her strength today.
May I ask if there is a way to be able to see this again? I had to leave midway through to take my husband to physical therapy so we missed a good portion of it.
God bless you both as you continue on to the next chapter of your lives...my family will always hold you in our prayers!

Oh, how I wish I could have seen the whole service! I missed part of it. But what I saw was beautiful and an incredible testimony to Mike's character and his life. You ARE blessed! It seems like such an odd thing to say on a day like today, but it's true.

Nevertheless, my heart is broken for you and Elizabeth and I wish I could take away your pain. I know I can't, so just know that I share it.

I love you both dearly.

Deanna,
THANK YOU. In the midst of all this, your humble and gracious spirit shines. Mike's service was beautiful and you and Elizabeth did him proud. Today every time I pray for you and Elizabeth, I'll be praying for the four souls who decided to follow Jesus -- with Mike leading the way and showing them the path. These are four souls we'll now see in glory thanks to the celebration, testament and witness of Mike's life. We love you and we thank God for you, Mike and Elizabeth and the light you have sent through the darkness by clinging to Jesus. xoxoxo Kathleen
P.S. What a wonderful church home you have and what a blessing that streaming is.

Deanna, Elizabeth, Mike's family and friends...I was able to watch the service via the web. A wonderful tribute to Mike and all the lives he touched...an example of how a family can raise up a broken body and still find the strength to share the Good News. I knew Mike as he went through initial B-1 training and during his time at the B-1 school house. I enjoyed flying with him and appreciated his dedication to his students...he made a difference. My prayers are with you this day! God bless the Phillips!

Dear Deanna and Elizabeth,

Our hearts grieved for you when we heard of Mike's passing away, but we rejoiced that Mike is no longer in pain but in the arms of our Savior. I know it has been a long journey. Thank you for sharing with us all along the way and allowing us to be part of your journey by praying for you all. We will continue to pray for you and Elizabeth as you continue on the journey the Lord has set before you. Your family has been an amazing witness to the work of God in your lives. I know He has used you to touch many and will continue to do so. May you know His presence, strength, and wisdom each day.

Love,

Deanna and Elizabeth-
Well done! Mike did his job, too...that service inspired me to take my faith further....
"What if?...." that got me. Between his blogs that were read and so inspirational, to the pastor's sermons, it was life changing for me.
So, THANK YOU Deanna, and THANK YOU, MIKE! In your death, you have inspired me to LIVE and carry His message by example.

I was able to watch the service through your church's website. I just want to say thank you for sharing that. It was a beautiful service. I especially enjoyed hearing Elizabeth speak about how much she loved her dad and the things she loved about him. Your dad's speech was beautiful as well. I love the way he thinks of heaven. You and Elizabeth will continue to be in my prayers daily.

God Bless you!

What a beautiful service and a wonderful tribute to Mike! I'm in such awe of the strength of both of you, Deanna and Elizabeth, that you could get up and speak so eloquently of Mike! Elizabeth's voice never cracked; how amazing for a 12-year-old young lady!

Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of the service. It meant so much to me, as I'm sure the many others, that could not be physically in Texas.

Your guardian angel is looking over you and those of us here on this earth are here to help you start the next part of your journey. We all continue to pray for you and keep you in our thoughts every day!

Love,

I had been thinking about you and your family so much these past couple weeks. I wish we could have been closer to you and able to see and be with you during this time. I just found out that Mike died. I am sooo sorry to hear that. I wish we could have been there for you and seen the service for the girls sake. Please let us know how you are doing sometime. We will finally return to the United States in May/June as I am retiring them. I would like to visit with you if you want that.

Hugs and Prayers for both of you! Love from Julia and Brian, Kayla and Amber
