Mike's Healing has come....

Mike is with Jesus. Jesus came at 11:35 this morning. I love Mike and I am so proud of his fight. Jesus will cradle him and I know Mike has gotten a well done. Please continue to pray for Elizabeth and I as we walk this new road without Mike but forever In His Hands....

Somehow, when I was praying this morning, I knew. And I didn't want to know and I hoped I was wrong.

And yet...

This battle is over. The suffering is over. Mike fought well and I'm so proud of him. The Lord has been merciful.

You have fought well too, Deanna. I'm very proud of you. Please...please consider keeping this blog going. You've let us walk with you in a foreign world up until now. Please let us into the next chapter too. I want to see and I want to understand. You give voice to a path I've never walked.

I love you all very, very much. Hugs to you and Elizabeth.

I am so very sad for you and Elizabeth.

I am crying with you and at the same time praising God for Mikes healing though.

I do not have any great words to say to you except that I will continue to pray for you and Elizabeth.

And yes I agree with the above comment, please consider keeping this blog up, I have read a couple whose journey with losing a spouse (or child) has been such a valuable tool for others and more importantly a great testimony to our great and Sovereign God!

Because of Christ,
Kelly

In the presence of Jesus to worship him this... I can just imagine Mike's shouts of praise.

Oh but how our hearts still grieve... Lord comfort as only you can...

I agree what CihakClan said...Mike shouting Praise to Jesus Christ...and he is pain free and the cancer is gone, and his love will always live in you, always. As hurtful as it is, the love of Mike and the love of God will comfort you.
Peace tonight, and love always,

Oh, Deanna, I had a vision...Mike running into Jesus' arms, "Father, I'm home!"

Like our daughters running into their Dad's arms when they came home from work!

Deanna and Elizabeth, Wendy and I are so very sad with you but happy to know that Mike has gone to a beautiful place with no pain, no sickess, and great happiness. He loved you both very much and was so very lucky to have you take such good care of him. I know you are very sad now but you will be happy knowing he is in heaven. Your faith has been such and increadable inspiration over the past year and we are all so much better for it. You know Wendy and I are available to you both at all times and we love you both very much! - Jeff & Wendy Webber

I know as you read these comments you are comforted knowing Mike is with Jesus and no longer struggling.
I also know it is so very hard for the ones left behind here on Earth and the word "hard" doesn't even begin to describe it, but you will endure because your faith is so strong.
When I look into that amazing little girl's eyes, I see so much of the legacy Mike has left and together the two of you, with the help of family and friends, and most importantly, Christ, will not only make it through this, but you both will go on to make Mike so proud. Mike has inspired me. You have inspired me. Elizabeth has inspired me.
My heart breaks for you but I also KNOW that the both of you are going to be okay and amazing things are to come....

I am deeply sorry for your loss and my heart is very heavy just thinking of what you are going through.

I hope you take comfort in knowing that Mike is no longer in pain and Jesus was ready for him and welcomed him home with open arms. I know He will continue to keep you wrapped in his arms and holding on to you both as you tread through your grief. Mike is now your guardian angel and will be with you until you see each other again.

Dear Deanna and Elizabeth,

At 0935 this morning we had to put down our dog Bella. She was an amazing dog that was just too damaged by this broken world to stay in it. As Peter and I sat in the room watching her go, Peter was fighting back the tears. Struggling for some words of comfort after we prayed, I said, "You know my friend Mike isn't doing so well. If he goes to Jesus soon maybe he and Bella can keep each other company."

Mike was a great warrior for this country and an even greater warrior for the Kingdom of God, but he had a kind heart and a tender soul, and we're guessing he liked the company of a good dog. Though we don't claim to understand the theology of dogs in heaven, we like to think that Bella is keeping Mike company right now.

He was a great man, Deanna. It is an honor to have flown with him, a pleasure to have known him, and a blessing to have been his friend. We thank God that Mike knew Christ here, and is with Him now there. May His angels bathe you and Elizabeth in God's love and comfort now and always.

Peace be with you both,
Jon, Shelley, Eli, Grace, & Peter

Deanna & Elizabeth,

There are no words...you are in our thoughts and prayers. You are one of the most strong, beautiful, and courageous people I know. Mike is and was truly blessed to have you fighting for him. Thank you for allowing us a glimpse into your hearts, your struggles, your love, but especially into your constant unwavering faith. You have truly changed each of us and I think we are all better for having shared this journey with you. Know that Mike is always with you and Elizabeth and now your guardian angel with no pain, no cancer and only peace and love. Please give Elizabeth our love and know we are here if you need anything.
