Home

We got home this morning around 9:30 am. Mike got two more pints of blood and his levels went up to 10.8. However, his WBC count went down even after the shot yesterday. He received another shot in the hospital. We have to go do a CBC tomorrow morning and then we see the Doctor on Monday with the CT Scan at 10:00 am.

I am a little nervous with the blood counts not coming up that much with 6 pints of blood. I really thought we would be in the 12 range. But I am lifting my prayers upwards that God will heal and be in control. This coming week is a little scary for some reason. But I will fear not, because those that trust in the Lord shall not be disappointed.

Oh my--that's a lot of blood; you need to update that blood donation number on the sidebar! I've never given blood due to being underweight and having low blood pressure, but my parents give a lot so hopefully we average out :(

Nervous and scared?... But isn't it perfectly normal what with all that's been in front of you folks, day after day, these last many months? We don't wonder! Knowing just how much your lives have changed, and all you've had to endure in this fight for Mike's life, leaves us profoundly humbled.

Our steadfast prayer remains; that your strong faith continues to see you through each day, giving each of you the strength you need for Mike to conquer this battle.

And may we also take this moment, just to remind you... that a day never passes without thoughts of you, or, our loving prayers - Marvie, Jim too!

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Deanna,
Words cannot convey the depth of our concern and the earnestness of our humble prayers for you all right now. When words fail, THE WORD always comes through: my verse for today was James 1:12.

"Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him."

I know your crown is beautiful beyond belief. Much love, Kathleen

Mike, Deanna...

In this battle you are fighting, I was just reminded of Psalm 91:
"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."

My prayer is that you will feel the strength of the walls of protection that our Lord has put around your hearts; that you will be sheltered from the cold wind of worry that sometimes blows near you; that He will truly continue to be your refuge and shield you with unfailing strength from all arrows that might harm you in any way.

Your courage and Mike's are an awesome and inspiring example of faith...our love and prayers are with you often and will be especially this week. Fear not!
